Dr. Amin Esmaeili is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Chemical Engineering Department at UDST with more than 13 years of experience in the design and simulation of chemical processes. He gained his Ph.D. from the Chemical Engineering Department of Polytechnique Montreal - Canada and worked on the hydrodynamics of bubble column reactors as his Ph.D. thesis. He has worked on the design, fabrication, and operation of multiphase reactors such as fixed beds, fluidized beds, and bubble column reactors operating at high-pressure and high-temperature conditions.

He has executed and managed several industrial research projects, including theoretical and experimental ones. Dr. Esmaeili has supervised/co-supervised 5 Ph.D., 10 MScs, and 40 undergraduate students over the past few years. He has published over 50 peer-reviewed journal papers and book chapters, giving over 15 presentations at international conferences and events.
